Providing opportunities to youth to develop skills and hands-on experience that help prepare them for future education and employment

 

  • Graphic Design Internship 

    • Work with project staff and collaborators to define and prioritize project qualities to develop a project name and graphic identity

    • Work with the Sequoia Foundation graphic designer to expand graphic design skills and knowledge in visual identity development and web development and design 

    • Develop and expand competency with professional design applications

    • Participate in the content development process

  • Air Monitoring Technology Internship

    • Learn how to evaluate sites for optimal placement of air monitors  

    • Gain familiarity with data management practices, and experience working with a range of web applications including Google Earth mapping and the air monitoring data dashboard

    • Develop professional communication skills and collaborating with team members and project partners

    • Gain experience in public speaking and developing public presentations

 

  • Graduate Student Public Health Internship

    • Expand community engagement skills 

    • Gain experience working with and managing youth, and developing youth curriculum and programming

    • Develop grant-writing skills and participate in the grant-writing process

    • Develop project management skills
